Craig started his career with Otakou Fisheries in Dunedin in the early 1980s. He is currently the Executive Chairman of Ngai Tahu Seafood Limited and the Chairman of the New Zealand Seafood Standards Council. Craig was a board member of the former Treaty of Waitangi Fisheries Commission and helped establish Aotearoa Fisheries Limited through the M�ori Fisheries Settlement allocation process. He was Chairman of Moana Pacific Fisheries Limited, the forerunner to Aotearoa Fisheries. Craig was a member of the Iwi Working Group established by Te Ohu Kaimoana to set the direction of the M�ori Fisheries Settlement entities as a result of a statutory review and is also a trustee on Poutama Trust.
