David became part of the Moana whānau in 2013 following a role as head of a Portfolio office with a financial institution. Prior to that he undertook contract business transformation work with the logistics sector in Australia following a New Zealand executive role with responsibilities for ICT, Construction and Civil Engineering, all of which involved leading major infrastructure projects. David started his working life with a 20-year Army career focused on Logistics and latterly ICT, then worked for an IT Services company managing infrastructure projects.
David has a passion for ensuring projects and business initiatives all map back to the organisation’s strategy and through many years of delivering and enabling projects, has demonstrated the business benefits of alignment and prioritisation of resources to deliver shareholder value.
Whānau has always been central to him having seven tamariki and an increasing number of mokopuna. As with his family, David enjoys working with, coaching and mentoring at all levels throughout the organisation to deliver outcomes that benefit them, our shareholders and our local communities, for the greater good of Māoridom and NZ Inc.
