Of Ngāti Porou descent on his father’s side and Kahungūnu and Rongomaiwahine on his mother’s, Don holds a Commerce degree from Victoria University and maintains his Chartered
A chartered accountant, Don was Commercial Manager at the former Treaty of Waitangi Fisheries Commission (Te Ohu Kaimoana) from 2002-2004 and was part of the initial management team when Aotearoa Fisheries was formed.
Don is truly passionate about our tio repe and our sustainably farmed pāua – possibly the best kaimoana in the world – and he and his team are excited by the possibility of making them an
even more globally recognised and appreciated delicacies.
