Aquaculture Farm Workers- Remediation (2)

Coromandel Township

6 July 2026

Ready for a true New Zealand adventure — the kind that actually earns the title?

If you’re on a working holiday or a Kiwi keen to swap the indoors for the open ocean, this is your chance to spend your days outside, on the water, in one of the country’s most stunning coastal regions. Winter in the Coromandel is crisp, wild, and beautiful — and yes, sometimes cold, wet, and muddy — but if you thrive in real‑deal outdoor conditions, you’ll love it.

We’re looking for two reliable, hard‑working, physically fit people to join our team from early July for a 3‑month seasonal role on our oyster farms. You’ll earn good money, learn new skills, and experience a side of New Zealand most travellers never get to see.

What the Job Actually Looks Like

Most days, you’ll be out on the water helping with hands‑on remediation work across our oyster farms. It’s physical, practical, and team‑focused. No two days look the same. You might be:

  • Installing axel protectors across the farm
  • Helping with preventative maintenance
  • Pitching in with general labour and farm tasks

Some days are calm and blue. Others are windy, wet, and cold — it is winter on the water, after all. But if you’re the kind of person who finds that invigorating rather than intimidating, you’ll fit right in.

Why WorkingHoliday Travellers or Kiwi Adventurers like this role

  • Live and work in one of NZ’s most beautiful coastal regions
  • Spend your days on the ocean instead of behind a screen
  • Learn practical aquaculture skills — no experience needed, we train you
  • Bring a friend — we have two roles available
  • Earn while exploring the Coromandel on your days off

This is the kind of job people remember long after the season ends.

 What We’re Looking For

No experience needed — just the right attitude. You’ll be great here if you are:

  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Physically fit
  • Keen to learn
  • Happy working outdoors in all weather
  • Able to follow instructions and work well in a team

Because tides and weather call the shots, you’ll need to be flexible with start times and hours. That’s just life on the water.

Start: Early July

  • Commitment: 3 months
  • Location: Coromandel
  • Accommodation not included

If you’re travelling NZ, or a Kiwi wanting to experience farming life on the water, and are ready for a unique Coromandel adventure, we’d love to hear from you.

Please send your resume and cover letter to C/o Moana NZ’s Recruitment Team at recruitment@moana.co.nz and in the subject box please put the job title.
