This is Moana New Zealand’s 3rd generation sustainability strategy. It is underpinned by our brand story of True Connection – Hononga Tūturu.
We have taken a bottom up approach in designing our pathway forward to continue to be a responsible company, living true to our value of kaitiakitanga. In designing this strategy, our sustainability working group, made up of representatives from across our business, took into consideration the following:
- our current operations and our company-wide five year aspirational strategy
- our understanding of te taiao (the environment)
- the results from our annual materiality assessment
- how we could map ourselves against international sustainability frameworks such as Sustainable Development Goals, ESG and integrated reporting
